Indeed, West Ham are unbeaten in their last five outings, earning impressive draws against Man City, Man Utd, and Chelsea, as well as thrashing Crystal Palace 7-1.

"I’m delighted to be extending my contract at West Ham United,” Skinner said

"We’ve made huge progress on and off the pitch over the last 18 months, which has been a collective effort from everyone at the Club. We have a fantastic group of players and staff, an incredibly supportive Board and a passionate, loyal fanbase that have all contributed to this growth.

"I believe we now have the foundations in place to keep developing and improving, and I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to keep moving this team forwards."

West Ham are currently seventh in the WSL with two games left to play, first at home to Aston Villa before a visit to face Leicester City on the final day of the season.
