Reims midfielder Jens Cajuste (23) is set to sign for Serie A champions Napoli, according to a report this Wednesday from Foot Mercato. The 15-times Sweden international joined the Ligue 1 side 18 months ago from Danish Superligaen side Midtjylland in a €10m deal. Cajuste went on to play 42 games for the Champagne side, logging six goals and one assist. The 23-year-old is tied with Stade de Reims over a contract set to expire in 2026.
The midfielder is set to move abroad and join a Champions League-playing side with Napoli. The French publication understands that the Rudi Garcia-led outfit and Stade de Reims have found an agreement for the signing of the 23-year-old. The transfer fee has not been revealed, although Reims are expected to recoup more than the €10m they paid for in the first place. Cajuste is set to undergo his medical with the Serie A champions in the coming hours. Fabrizio Romano understands that Cajuste will sign a five-year deal with the Partenopei.
