Porto received the Liga Portugal Betclic trophy at Estádio do Dragão on Saturday after beating Santa Clara on the 34th and final matchday, marking their 31st national title with a vibrant ceremony.

According to O Jogo, Liga Portugal president Reinaldo Teixeira led the presentation, joined by José Manuel Neves, head of the Porto Football Association, and Tiago Simões, Betclic’s country manager.

Teixeira commended Porto on the championship, noting the triumph had already been sealed before being formally recognised on the night, and offered particular congratulations to André Villas-Boas on his first league title since becoming club president.

After the final whistle, players, coaching staff and club officials celebrated on the pitch as the Dragão enjoyed a party atmosphere.

The side coached by Francesco Farioli finished the campaign on 88 points, underlining a consistent season and adding another honour to the club’s record.
