Borussia Mönchengladbach made light work of FC Heidenheim on a 3-0 scoreline yesterday. Midfield engine Rocco Reitz was really happy with the result.

"We were very disciplined and well organised at the start. The penalty was the moment that opened things up for us, and taking the lead did us a lot of good.

“After that, we made good use of the spaces Heidenheim left us. I’m very happy and pleased for everyone who scored, for the team and for the coach,” Reitz said at full-time.

Head coach Eugen Polanski saw his winning streak extend to three games and was delighted with how his side improved after a difficult first-half battle.

"I’m very happy with the result and with the way we played our football. The first half was the scrappy contest we expected, with only a few chances for either side.

"In the second half we took control and dominated the game. We attacked well and hardly allowed anything at the back.

“Overall, I’m very pleased with the team’s focused performance in what is always a difficult away fixture,” Polanski added.
