Leeds United have ‘rejected’ a loan approach from Polish outfit Radomiak Radom for Alfie Cresswell amid growing interest in the youngster.

The Whites have recently sanctioned the departures of Joel Piroe to West Ham United and Sebastian Bornauw to Hamburg, with both players leaving on initial loan deals.

Meanwhile, Lucas Perri’s departure remains in limbo, with a move to Torino yet to materialise, amid suggestions that the Italian outfit’s president withholding the green light is behind the delay.

Largie Ramazani’s exit is similarly unresolved, with Valencia continuing to pursue the winger, although the Spanish outfit could also explore more appealing alternatives in the market.

Cresswell could also find himself heading away from Leeds before the window closes, with Radomiak Radom expressing interest in the midfielder.

But Leeds have ‘rejected loan approach’ from Radomiak Radom for Cresswell, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Despite the Polish outfit seeing their approach rebuffed, the youngster still ‘remains a player attracting interest’ in the market.

That could leave the door ajar for further approaches from elsewhere, although Leeds’ intentions regarding Cresswell remain unclear.

Cresswell featured in Leeds’ pre-season tour of the United States under Daniel Farke and made appearances in the friendlies, leaving him in contention to earn his senior debut for the Peacocks should he remain at Elland Road.

The 19-year-old came close to that milestone last season, making the matchday squad on two occasions.

The midfielder currently captains Leeds’ Under-21 side and has two years remaining on his contract in Yorkshire.

What ultimately lies ahead for Cresswell this summer should become clearer in the coming days and weeks, but Leeds will want to make sure if they do agree to loan him out then the destination is the right one.

The Polish side do not appear to have convinced the Whites on that factor, but they could well come back to the table.
