RELEASE | GFFN 100 2025 – Ligue 1’s best players ranked | OneFootball

The Get French Football News 100 2025 comprises our selection of the top one hundred talents that French football has to offer, judged solely on their performances in 2025. To be eligible for the GFFN 100, a player must be a registered squad member of a Ligue 1 or a Ligue 2 club on the 31st of December 2025 – heading into the January transfer window. Players who are eligible are judged on all their professional appearances in 2025, regardless of whether or not they were playing abroad for a part of the calendar year. This applies to the international appearances they might have accumulated as well.

Players are ranked in descending order, with the highest-rated talent ranked 1st and the 100th highest-rated talent ranked 100th. The pages ahead contain detailed profiles of all 100 players who are drawn from 16 Ligue 1 clubs and two Ligue 2 clubs. Unsurprisingly, given Paris Saint-Germain’s domination over the course of the calendar year, which culminated in six trophies, including the Champions League, they dominate the upper echelons of this year’s ranking. Although this publication looks back at the last 12 months, it’s also a guide for 2026 and proves that French football is set to continue its steep upward trajectory for some time to come.
