Wayne Rooney has hit a personal milestone in celebrating his 40th birthday.
The England international became one of the finest marksmen of his generation after breaking through with boyhood club Everton in the 2002/03 season.

His time at Goodison Park proved to be fleeting, with a move to Manchester United catapulting him to stardom before returning to his roots for one season in 2017.
