Remo supporters staged another protest outside the club’s Belém headquarters on Thursday night, increasing pressure on president Antônio Carlos Teixeira and head coach Léo Condé before the Flamengo match.

According to Coluna Do Fla, a group gathered with banners and flares outside the azulina base on Avenida Nazaré. It was the second protest this week.

On Tuesday, fans had confronted the board at the same site, where a heavy security operation was deployed to prevent a possible invasion. Images from Thursday showed a different scene, with no policing inside the social headquarters.

The unrest stems from a poor Brasileirão campaign. Remo have 23 points from 25 games and sit second-bottom, and the team are winless in seven across the Copa do Brasil and the league.

Defeat to Coritiba earlier in the week proved a spark for renewed demonstrations, with louder calls for Condé’s exit and criticism of the hierarchy. Despite the pressure, Teixeira has kept Condé in post and he will lead the side in their next league fixture.

Remo face Flamengo on Sunday 06 at 16:00 Brasília time at Estádio do Mangueirão in the 26th round. Flamengo are second and could go top if they win and Palmeiras slip against Botafogo.
