Renato Kayzer, Gabriel Baralhas among 13 out as Vitória visit Flamengo in Copa do Brasil

Vitória visit Flamengo at the Maracanã on Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time for the Copa do Brasil fifth-phase first leg, and arrive with 13 absences, including Renato Kayzer and Gabriel Baralhas, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Claudinho, Riccieli and Pedro Henrique are in transition after physical issues. Kayzer, Baralhas, Mateus Silva, Jamerson, Neris, Camutanga, Edu, Rúben Ismael, Dudu and Fabri are sidelined as they recover from injuries.

Head coach Jair Ventura does at least welcome back Marinho, named in the squad again after a left thigh problem. The forward could feature against his former club, having played for Flamengo from January 2022 to June 2023.

The tie opens in Rio, with the return at Barradão on 14 May. Flamengo will seek a home advantage to take into the second leg.
