Corinthians centre-back Renato, 21, returned from a loan at Atlético-GO at the start of the year but remains outside Dorival Júnior’s plans, training at off-peak times at the CT Joaquim Grava.
According to Globo.com, the academy graduate has yet to make a senior appearance and is awaiting proposals to decide his next step. His deal runs until 31 July 2027.
For players who did not feature in state competitions in 2026, the next transfer window opens on 20 July.
Renato reported back on 6 January and was told early in the season he would not be used. The club has not received bids for him.
He was promoted to the first team in 2024 after completing his youth development but has not played for the seniors. In 2025 he joined Atlético-GO for Série B of the Campeonato Brasileiro but did not feature due to physical issues.
At youth level he won the 2024 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior and logged 101 games with 13 goals for Corinthians’ under-20s. For the under-17s he made 33 appearances and scored five.
In central defence Dorival Júnior currently has Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Paulista, André Ramalho and João Pedro Tchoca, and the club still want to add another centre-back this season.
