Bertug Yildirim (23) is one of two players set to leave Stade Rennais in order to make the move to Turkey, according to a report from Ouest-France.
Yildirim spent last season on loan in La Liga with Getafe. The Turkish forward made 27 appearances in all competitions, however, he netted just three goals and registered one assist before rejoining parent club Rennes in the summer. His game-time prospects are limited, especially since the arrivals of Breel Embolo and Esteban Lepaul, who joined late in the transfer window. He is under contract with Les Rennais until 2028, however, he is now set for a permanent move to Goztepe, currently third in the Turkish league.
He could also be joined by Dogan Alemdar (22). The goalkeeper is the No.2 at Rennes, behind first-choice Brice Samba. However, like his compatriot Yildirim, he is also set to join Goztepe on a permanent deal, Ouest-France understands.
