Julien Stéphan looks set to field an unchanged side to the one that lost 3-0 against AC Milan at the San Siro, with Stade Rennais looking to make up a significant deficit in the second leg.
Rennes trail thanks to a brace from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and a Rafael Leão goal last Thursday. In preparation for this Thursday’s fixture at Roazhon Park, Stéphan rested players during Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Clermont Foot, with Arnaud Kalimuendo, Benjamin Bourigeaud, Adrien Truffert, Désiré Doué and Guéla Doué all dropping out of the starting XI.
However, it is expected that all will return to face AC Milan. Ludovic Blas, Ibrahim Salah, Amine Gouiri, Alidu Seidu and Jeanuël Belocian will all therefore drop back to the bench.
