Nemanja Matić will be absent for Stade Rennais on Friday, with the Serbian midfielder set to join Rennes’ opponent on the night, Olympique Lyonnais.

A deal has been agreed that will see Matić join Lyon. The former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder is expected to undergo his medical imminently ahead of completing his €3m move to the Groupama Stadium. As it has been in recent weeks, it is Baptiste Santamaria, who has this week signed an extension with SRFC, who is expected to start on Friday evening, with Azor Matusiwa expected to make the bench.

Julien Stéphan will be without Warmed Omari (suspension) and Christopher Wooh (current at the AFCON) in defence, whilst Fabian Rieder is out injured. Amine Gouiri, who did not travel to the AFCON due to injury, is set to make the teamsheet.
