Martin Terrier is set to start back-to-back games for Stade Rennais for the first time since his ACL injury back in early January, however, Steve Mandanda has been ruled out of the UEFA Europa League tie against Panathinaikos.
Mandanda is Rennes’ uncontested No.1, but having suffered an injury to his knee during Sunday’s 2-0 defeat against OGC Nice, he won’t feature on Thursday, whilst his presence in this weekend’s Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique Lyonnais is also in doubt. Gauthier Gallon, who arrived at the club from ESTAC Troyes to be Mandanda’s understudy, will therefore make his first appearance for the club. Bertug Yildrim is the only other absentee for Bruno Genesio.
Terrier, who made his first start since his ACL injury against Nice, is likely to make the lineup once again against Panathinaikos. He will likely be partnered by Arnaud Kalimuendo and Benjamin Bourigeaud upfront.
