Rennes turned down an offer from Besiktas for left-back Mahamadou Nagida on Monday afternoon.

According to L'Équipe, the bid arrived on the final day of the window, during a particularly busy end to business for the club.

It came alongside the record sale of Jérémy Jacquet to Liverpool.

Besiktas of Türkiye proposed around five million euros for the 20-year-old Cameroonian, who is under contract until 2029. Rennes plan to rely on him in the second half of the season.

The position mirrors last summer, when interest was also rebuffed.
