Rennes to base in Slovenia for Sturm Graz trip amid Austrian MotoGP hotel squeeze | OneFootball

Stade Rennais will base themselves in Slovenia for their Europa League match at Sturm Graz on 16 September, with Austrian hotels scarce due to the MotoGP Grand Prix at Spielberg on 20 September.

The team will stay in Maribor, about one hour by road, 69 km from Graz. As reported by Ouest-France, Franck Haise’s players will hold a three-day training camp there.

Maribor is familiar ground, Rennes won 1-2 there against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League in October 2021.

After the camp, the squad will fly directly to Lyon for their Ligue 1 match on 19 September, kick-off 20:45, which is matchday five.

The fixture precedes a three-week international break for the Nations League.
