Renzo Saravia says Valencia can aim higher after unveiling | OneFootball

Renzo Saravia was unveiled at the Media Centre of the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna on Tuesday after joining Valencia as a free agent to bolster right back, a role hit by injuries to Dimitri Foulquier and Thierry Rendall. He will wear number 20.

According to Superdeporte, the Argentine has been with the squad only a few days and watched the defeat to Villarreal last Sunday. This is his first week training with his new team-mates before the match against Osasuna on Sunday.

Asked about compatriot Guido Rodríguez’s recent remarks that the squad should look up the table, Saravia agreed. He said Valencia have the quality to be higher, that two or three wins could lift them, and that the target should be upwards.

He acknowledged the league position is difficult and has not improved in recent weeks, but said he has found a positive dressing room determined to turn the situation around.

Saravia also thanked his new team-mates for the warm welcome since arriving in the city.
