Renzo Saravia still waiting for a club after short Valencia spell | OneFootball

Five appearances, four starts, two wins, and a stint unlikely to live long in Valencia memory despite his commitment. At 33, Renzo Saravia is still searching for a club.

According to Superdeporte, he left Mestalla months ago after the club chose not to extend his short-term deal. He had already been unattached in February when Valencia made an urgent approach.

The right-back came through Belgrano de Córdoba, breaking through in 2012/13 before moving to Racing Club. In Avellaneda he enjoyed one of his best spells, earned prominence in Argentina and won selection for the senior team. He won nine caps for Argentina before embarking on his first European move.

Porto signed him in summer 2019, but his time in Portugal was brief and he soon returned to South America on loan at Internacional de Porto Alegre. Brazil then became his main stage, with spells at Internacional and Botafogo before Atlético Mineiro. In Belo Horizonte he found stability, playing 129 games and scoring two goals between February 2023 and January 2026.

Valencia recruited Saravia on 23 February 2026 on a deal to the season’s end to cover Dimitri Foulquier’s long-term absence. His debut did not arrive until 21 April away to Mallorca at Son Moix, more than one and a half months after joining. His contract ended on 30 June 2026, and his most recent Transfermarkt valuation was one point four million euros.
