The Senegal international joined Bayern Munich on loan on deadline day last summer, but they are unlikely to make his move permanent.
Despite an obligation to buy being included in the deal, the criteria to activate it can’t be met and Jackson will leave Germany in the summer.
Jackson scored on the weekend as Bayern beat Stuttgart 4-2 to once again win the Bundesliga, but he’s played second fiddle to the likes of Harry Kane and Luis Diaz for the majority of the season.
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals in 28 appearances, but only 12 of those have come as starts, and he’s played 757 minutes in the league.
Jackson has interest from clubs in Italy, and The Sun have reported he’s warming to the idea of a return to Chelsea, and has been in contact with the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.
The report adds Jackson is in no rush to make a decision on his future, and will hold talks after the World Cup, where he’ll be hoping to impress for Senegal.
Chelsea already have Emmanuel Emegha arriving from Strasbourg in the summer, so unless he were to be loaned back , or Liam Delap leaves, it’s hard to see where the space for Jackson in the squad is.

The Blues are seven points behind Liverpool, who occupy the final Champions League place, but more worryingly they are level on points with Bournemouth and Brentford, and just a point ahead of Brighton in ninth.
