Tomas Palacios could reportedly end up staying at Inter Milan this summer despite transfer links away for much of the window.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have been looking to offload defender Tomas Palacios this summer.

The Nerazzurri only just signed the Argentine last summer. However, since arriving at the club, he has never really looked convincing.

Meanwhile, Palacios spent the second half of last season on loan with Monza.

A few potential destinations have emerged for Palacios this summer.

The Argentine had reportedly been close to joining Swiss side Basel on loan with a purchase option. However, that move collapsed at the final stages.

Then, Santos had seemingly been close to signing Palacios on loan with a purchase option. They agreed a deal with Inter in the last couple days.

However, the player himself has reportedly rejected the possibility of the move.

Tomas Palacios Could Stay At Inter Milan

According to Sky Sport Italia, it is looking increasingly possible that Palacios could remain an Inter player for the upcoming season.

If the Nerazzurri were to offload the Argentine then they would aim to sign a defender. That would bolster their defensive depth.

However, with Palacios still not moving on, Inter may well give the 23-year-old a place in their squad.
