The former Real Madrid academy product has been thriving at Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, and his performances this season have begun to attract interest from clubs who rarely hesitate when it comes to securing rising stars.

According to the report, both Premier League giants have already informed Real Madrid of their intention to follow the player closely ahead of the next transfer window.

While Stuttgart have benefited enormously from Chema’s rapid development, the midfielder’s future will ultimately be shaped by a decision that belongs to Madrid.

Notably, the Los Blancos retain the decisive authority, and the structure of his contract ensures they remain in complete control of any potential move.

Real Madrid keeping an eye

Real Madrid inserted a strategic repurchase option when the player left the club, giving them the chance to bring him back to the Bernabeu for €13.5 million in 2026 or €18 million in 2027.

Given how quickly Chema is growing into one of the Bundesliga’s standout youngsters, those figures are already starting to look like a bargain.

The 20-year-old has impressed not only with his consistency but also with the maturity and intelligence he brings to midfield, which is why both Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola are believed to admire him.

Stuttgart, for their part, are thrilled with his progression. The midfielder has become a favourite among supporters, and his growing influence in the Bundesliga has made him one of the team’s most valuable assets.

He is tied to the German club until 2030, and Stuttgart are said to be keen on keeping him for as long as possible, recognising that he has quickly become a vital part of their project.

Even so, the presence of Madrid’s buy-back clause has created a sense of uncertainty.

Arsenal and City may be preparing the groundwork, but both clubs understand that as long as Real Madrid maintain their contractual advantage, any transfer will only happen with the blessing of the Spanish giants.
