Runaway Premier League leaders Arsenal have reportedly rekindled their interest in exit-bound Juventus superstar Dusan Vlahovic. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old.

Dusan Vlahovic is on the brink of leaving Juventus after four years. Indeed, his contract at the Allianz Stadium is due to expire in just over a month. Despite Luciano Spalletti’s hopes of keeping the Serbian goal-getter at the club, Vlahovic looks closer to departing the Bianconeri than actually staying beyond the summer.

It’s been an injury-hit season for the former Fiorentina center-forward, who has accumulated just 18 Serie A appearances. Nevertheless, his skills remain in high demand, with numerous domestic teams eager to secure his services. Milan and Inter have emerged as the leading candidates.

However, they are likely to face stern competition from abroad. After Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Arsenal have added Vlahovic to their list of targets. The Gunners were keen to bring him to the Emirates Stadium four years ago, but Juventus beat them to the punch.

Our take on Dusan Vlahovic Move from Juventus to Arsenal

Arsenal splashed out a fortune to land Viktor Gyokeres last summer. However, with Gabriel Jesus set to leave the club and Kai Havertz’s future in North London hanging in the balance, Mikel Arteta’s men are in the market for a new striker.

Vlahovic has had a rough season, but he has been in formidable form since returning from injury. After scoring in back-to-back league outings, he had a goal denied by VAR in Juventus’ dreadful 2-0 home loss to Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon.

It could prove to be his last appearance at the Allianz Stadium. Arsenal could use a player of Vlahovic’s quality, especially considering Gyokeres’ patchy form in his first season at the Emirates.
