Inter Milan have identified Atalanta rising star Marco Palestra as one of their top targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Corriere di Bergamo via FCInter1908, luring the 21-year-old to San Siro could be easier said than done.

Marco Palestra has established himself as one of Serie A’s best-performing wingbacks this season.

Indeed, he has tallied a goal and four assists in 29 league appearances for Cagliari, whom he joined on a season-long last summer.

In doing so, Palestra has cemented his status as one of Europe’s most promising young talents.

Meanwhile, Inter have earmarked him as a potential long-term successor to Denzel Dumfries, who could leave the club in the summer.

Atalanta Unwilling to Sell Inter Milan Target Marco Palestra

Inter are reportedly ready to offer up to €35 million to sign Palestra at the end of the season.

However, Atalanta have no interest in selling the Italian prodigy, who could replace Davide Zappacosta next season.

As for Palestra, he continues to impress.

Indeed, only Juventus talisman Kenan Yildiz (68) has completed more successful dribbles than the Atalanta-owned starlet (53) this season in Serie A.

Therefore, it’s unsurprising that Atalanta would only entertain mega-money offers for their super-talented youngster.
