Inter Milan have reportedly identified Atalanta wingback Raoul Bellanova as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian star could make an unexpected return to San Siro in January.

Raoul Bellanova spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Inter.

However, after only making three Serie A starts under former boss Simone Inzaghi, he returned to his parent club, Cagliari.

Little did anyone know the 25-year-old would soon become one of the division’s best wingbacks.

After an impressive 2023/24 season at Torino, Bellanova joined Atalanta last summer for a substantial €25 million fee.

Furthermore, his meteoric rise has continued in Bergamo, where he has established himself as one of Serie A’s most dynamic players.

Yet, Bellanova has recently suffered a hamstring injury and will miss Atalanta’s home match against Inter on Sunday.

The upcoming clash at the Gewiss Stadium could be an opportunity for the Nerazzurri to discuss the transfer with La Dea.
