Premier League side Bournemouth are reportedly plotting a January swoop for Inter Milan outcast Davide Frattesi.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Cherries are weighing up a loan bid for the Italian midfielder.

Frattesi’s future has been one of the major talking points this winter.

Indeed, Inter boss Cristian Chivu has deemed the 26-year-old surplus to requirements following an underwhelming first half of the season.

Therefore, the San Siro giants have put the former Sassuolo man up for sale.

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti has identified Davide Frattesi as an upgrade on his current midfield options.

However, Inter are reluctant to sell their out-of-favor midfielder to their bitter rivals.

Therefore, they were hoping to offload Frattesi to Galatasaray, who seemed genuinely interested in securing his services.

Yet, the reigning Super Lig holders have withdrawn from the race after being put off by Inter’s €40 million asking price.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth could exploit the vacuum and lure Frattesi to the Vitality Stadium, though they’re also aiming for a loan deal.
