Celtic will revisit their interest in £10m-rated Mathias Kvistgaarden. The Brondby striker has been a Celtic target for two and a half years but this summer, the Scottish Chamlions are expected to return for the 22-year-old.

According to Football Insider, Celtic will reignite their continued interest in the player. The report states that Celtic and Brondby are in discussions over a potential deal already.

Celtic walked away from a deal in January over the fee that Brondby were demanding for the player but they’ll feel more confident in being able to do a deal this summer.

Daizen Maeda has slotted into the striking role after Kyogo left for Rennes in January. Adam Idah is currently working away diligently as he looks to take his opportunities. Although, Maeda has taken his game from one strength to the next as he looks to be a shoe-in for Player of the Year.

Kvistgaarden has scored 39 goals and assisted on 17 occasions in 144 appearances for the Danish side. There is an expectation that the Danes will allow the player to leave this summer as they look to maximise his value as he enters the final two years of his deal.

The planning for next year is already underway for next season with Kasper Schmeichel extending his deal and Kieran Tierney signing a pre-contract. Celtic will bring Tierney back to the club this summer but could potentially lose Greg Taylor. The Scotland Internationalist’s deal expires and talk has quietened regarding a renewal. Jefferey Schlupp has arrived and appears to have slotted into that left back role.
