More new faces are expected to follow Delap and Chelsea are looking to sign a versatile attacker, centre back and left winger to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.

There’s likely to be plenty of movement at centre back with Renato Veiga and Axel Disasi set to leave, whilst there are questions surrounding Benoit Badiashile’s future.

Trevoh Chalobah is attracting interest from Napoli, but Chelsea aren’t thought to actively be looking to sell the England international.

Mamadou Sarr is expected to be part of the first team squad next season, whilst Guehi is said to be one of five names on Chelsea’s radar, although things have been quiet in recent weeks.

However, Give Me Sport have reported Chelsea are looking to sign Guehi for a reduced fee after the Club World Cup.

The report adds Chelsea are huge admirers of Guehi, but aren’t prepared to pay over the odds for the 24-year-old.

Give Me Sport state the Blues also have interest in Tomas Araujo and Jarrad Branthwaite, but they feel those deals are more difficult due to release clauses and clubs not wanting to cash in.

Guehi captained Palace to FA Cup glory last season and scored three goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.

Jorrel Hato a target

Guehi might not be the only defensive signing with the Blues also looking for back-up for Marc Cucurella at left back.

The Spaniard is currently the only left back in the squad and the Blues would have a major problem if he got injured.

Ajax star Jorrel Hato has been identified as a target and the 19-year-old is a left back who can also play at centre back.

Chelsea are said to have held initial talks over a move for Hato, but rivals Arsenal are also believed to be interested in the teenager.
