The Blues face a critical window under new boss Xabi Alonso, with reinforcements required in a number of key areas of the squad.
Chelsea are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst it’s thought they want to add another attacker and midfielder.
Alonso will reportedly have a say in transfers, and it’ll be interesting to see which players he looks to bring to Stamford Bridge.
Behdad Eghbali has said the recruitment model will be tweaked this summer, whilst there’s believed to be an acceptance within Chelsea they need to sign Premier League ready players.
Centre back is one area which needs strengthening and the Blues have been linked with Jan Paul van Hecke and Maxence Lacroix.
However, it appears they might have another name on their radar, and Caught Offside have reported they are among the clubs monitoring Pubill.
The report adds Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona and PSG are all keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who can play at both full back and centre back.
Caught Offside add he’s seen as key player for Atletico, and has a huge release clause in his current contract close to €500m.
Pubill made 36 appearances for Ateltico last season, and will be part of the Spain squad for the World Cup which begins next month.
