Real Madrid's medical team are said to have examined the wrong leg when assessing Eduardo Camavinga earlier this season, a claim surfacing alongside scrutiny over Kylian Mbappé's knee scan.

According to L'Équipe, the error came during the MRI for the French midfielder's left ankle injury sustained on three December in Bilbao.

Four days later, Camavinga stayed on the bench against Celta Vigo. He was then sidelined for two weeks.

Mbappé meanwhile denied that Madrid's doctors had made such a mistake with his own knee examination, speaking at a France news conference in Foxborough, near Boston, on Wednesday. He said the information was not correct.

The reported Camavinga episode would predate the alleged Mbappé case.
