Benoit Badiashile is making good progress with his recovery and could be in the match day squad for the trip to Burnley according to reports.

Maresca confirmed last month Badiashile would likely be out until December with an injury picked up in the win against Liverpool.

Chelsea have been hampered by injury issues at centre back at the start of the season, and Badiashile has had a real stop start beginning to the campaign.

Benoit Badiashile injury update

Badiashile’s latest injury setback was a real blow as he was starting to show some good form, and he could have established himself as a starting centre back.

The 24-year-old has made just three appearances in all competitions this season, but Maresca has admitted he’s a big fan of Badiashile.

However, according to Football London Badiashile could possibly return ahead of schedule and is progressing well with his recovery.

The reports states there’s a chance he could return to the match day squad for the trip to Burnley, but he’s yet to return to full training, and is currently still doing individual work at Cobham.

Chelsea will be hoping their centre backs return injury free from international duty with Chalobah called up to the England squad, whilst Josh Acheampong is with the under-21s.

Levi Colwill on schedule with ACL recovery

Badiashile isn’t the only Chelsea centre back on schedule with his recovery, and it’s believed the heavily missed Levi Colwill is also progressing well.

The 22-year-old has reportedly been off crutches for a month, and is bang on schedule with his recovery from an ACL injury suffered before the start of the season.

Losing Colwill has been a major blow, but there’s hope the England international could feature before the end of the campaign, although Chelsea definitely won’t rush him back.
