Brazilian powerhouse Flamengo could reportedly beat Inter Milan to the signature of Santos wonderkid Robinho Junior.
According to ESPN via FCInterNews, Leonardo Jardim’s men have been offered a chance to sign the 18-year-old forward.
Robinho Junior has less than a year left to run on his current contract at Santos.
Indeed, his deal at Vila Belmiro expires at the beginning of 2027, with Peixe unable to tie him down to a new contract.
Therefore, the son of former Real Madrid and AC Milan striker will be eligible to sign a pre-agreement with other clubs later this year.
Meanwhile, his representatives have already contacted Flamengo to discuss a potential transfer.
Mentored by Neymar, Robinho Jr has quickly emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Brazilian football.
However, the teenager has recently tumbled down the pecking order, with his last league outing coming in January.
Indeed, Robinho Jr has made just six league appearances this term and is still waiting for his first goal.
Nevertheless, Flamengo could decide to pounce on this market opportunity, unfazed by Inter’s interest in the Santos prodigy.
As for Inter, they’re preparing to switch to a new formation and could use a player of Robinho’s characteristics.
