Marcus Thuram could be in for a change of position at Inter Milan, with Cristian Chivu looking the change the formation.
Italian outlet FCInterNews report that the switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation could precipitate a move into attacking midfield for the 27-year-old.
Marcus Thuram is a player who has already made a few positional changes in his career.
The France international has plenty of versatility. He had initially played as a winger, whilst at Borussia Monchengladbach he played several roles.
Thuram frequently played anywhere from out wide to attacking midfield for Gladbach. And in his final season at the club in particular, he played as an out-and-out centre-forward.

And when Inter signed Thuram, it was definitely to be a centre-forward. That is the position that he played for two seasons under Simone Inzaghi.
However, the arrival of Cristian Chivu as coach is heralding a change in formation at Inter.
The Romanian wants to have three attackers on the pitch. That is why Inter are reportedly trying to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta – although that has proven a tricky task.
In this system, Thuram will not really be able to play as an out-and-out striker.
Nevertheless, FCInterNews reports, the Frenchman will still be first-choice for Inter.
Therefore, anticipates the Italian outlet, that will entail Thuram moving into one of the two slots in attacking midfield in Chivu’s 3-4-2-1 formation.
