Inter Milan have reportedly handed Galatasaray a major boost in their pursuit of star midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to the latest reports via FCInter1908, the runaway Serie A leaders have decided to put the 32-year-old up for sale.
Chances of the Turkish playmaker’s summer departure are rapidly growing.
Indeed, Hakan Calhanoglu, who was close to moving to Istanbul last year, could finally return to his homeland this summer.
With less than two years left to run on his current contract, his exit feels inevitable, with Inter reluctant to lose him on a free transfer in 2027.
Galatasaray’s interest in the former AC Milan star is genuine, as recently confirmed by the Lions manager Okan Buruk.
Although Calhanoglu has never publicly addressed this matter, his silence speaks volumes.
Indeed, it feels like he would embrace the opportunity to return to his home country after spending the last nine years in Serie A.
Furthermore, the 32-year-old’s recent injury woes have convinced the Nerazzurri to put him up for sale.
And Galatasaray may not have to shell out more than €10 million to secure his arrival at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Inter could try to sign Leon Goretzka to fill the midfield vacancy.
