Turkish Super Lig heavyweights Galatasaray are reportedly preparing a new offer for Inter Milan stalwart Hakan Calhanoglu.

According to Turkish outlet Milliyet via FCInter1908, Okan Buruk’s men are keen to add to their midfield options in the January transfer window.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce tried to sign Hakan Calhanoglu in the summer, even holding talks with his agent to discuss a potential transfer.

However, the 31-year-old ended up staying at San Siro, where he has re-established himself as an irreplaceable leader in Cristian Chivu’s midfield.

Despite never showing willingness to meet Inter’s €30 million asking price, Galatasaray have not given up on their pursuit of Calhanoglu.

Furthermore, the Rams Park outfit could launch a new bid for the former AC Milan playmaker in the upcoming transfer window.

With less than two years left on Calhanoglu’s contract at San Siro, Inter are unlikely to lower their demands.

And since Calhanoglu’s high price tag already scared Galatasaray off in the summer, it’s hard to expect things to change this winter.
