Inter Milan and Botafogo have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Joaquin Correa.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, only the ‘final details’ are missing before El Tucu completes his switch to Brazil.
Joaquin Correa was on his way out anyway. Indeed, his contract with Inter was due to expire on June 30.
However, Inter can offload the 30-year-old striker effective immediately.
Meanwhile, Botafogo are in a hurry to close the deal.

Inter had already decided Correa’s fate before Botafogo even came knocking.
After failing to meet expectations, the Nerazzurri decided against extending his expiring contract.
Therefore, he would’ve left the Serie A runners-up this summer in any case.
Yet, this way, Inter could make some money out of Correa’s inevitable departure.
The only missing thing is the signing bonus. However, talks between the Brazilian club and the player’s entourage are ongoing.
Correa’s career at Inter didn’t go as planned.
Despite joining the club as one of Serie A’s best-performing forwards, he never settled in Lombardy.
Perhaps a return to South America could help him get back on track.
Furthermore, the announcement may arrive soon as Botafogo want to have the player for the FIFA Club World Cup.
