Yann Sommer and Guglielmo Vicario could reportedly form the goalkeeping duo at Inter Milan next season.

According to L’Interista, the Swiss veteran’s potential contract renewal would not rule out the Italian star’s arrival.

With less than five months left to run on his current deal, Sommer’s future at San Siro is hanging by a thread.

However, there’s a chance that the Nerazzurri could offer Yann Sommer a new contract after another brilliant season.

Though the 37-year-old could eventually stay at the club, it won’t affect Inter’s interest in Guglielmo Vicario.

Indeed, the runaway Serie A leaders have identified the Tottenham Hotspur shot-stopper as a long-term replacement for Sommer.

Still, the 29-year-old won’t come cheap, with Spurs reportedly slapping a €30 million price tag on the former Empoli man.

The only uncertainty surrounds whether Inter will be willing to meet Tottenham’s €30 million asking price.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear who would claim the starting spot, though there is a sense that Sommer would likely have to settle for a backup role.
