Inter offloaded Aleksandar Stankovic to Club Brugge last summer in a deal worth just under €10 million.

Meanwhile, the highly rated midfielder has gone from strength to strength at the Jan Breydel Stadium this season.

With seven goals and five assists from 44 appearances, he has emerged as one of Brugge’s standout performers.

Furthermore, his scintillating form has drawn inquiries from several top European clubs.

Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have reportedly set their sights on the rising Serbian star.

However, Inter have decided to activate a buy-back clause in their agreement with the Belgian powerhouse.

Therefore, they will shell out €23 million to bring Stankovic back to Serie A in the summer.

Moreover, it seems that the Nerazzurri have no intention of selling the young gun, even though they could make a huge profit from his exit.

Instead, head coach Cristian Chivu could make Stankovic central to his long-term project at San Siro.

Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi could make room for the teenage sensation.
