Inter Milan are reportedly ready to step up efforts to sign Fiorentina wingback Dodo after missing out on Joao Cancelo’s signature.

According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri could propose a loan swap to convince La Viola to let the Brazilian move to Milan.

Joao Cancelo was Inter’s top target to replace Denzel Dumfries after informing Al-Hilal of his desire to return to Europe.

However, La Liga pacesetters Barcelona have beaten Cristian Chivu’s side to the punch and could soon announce his arrival.

Therefore, Inter have switched their attention toward Dodo.

Inter could reportedly use Stefan de Vrij as a counterpart in the deal.

With less than six months left to run on his contract at San Siro, the Dutchman will leave the club anyway.

However, Inter are reluctant to let him reunite with Simone Inzaghi at Al-Hilal this winter.

Meanwhile, Kristjan Asllani could be another makeweight in negotiations.

Now that Torino have decided to terminate his loan, the Albanian could be heading toward Tuscany.
