Desperate to leave Al-Hilal this winter, Joao Cancelo has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to engineer his return to Europe.

Moreover, Mendes has offered the 31-year-old’s services to several Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan.

Elsewhere, Barcelona are also in the race, but their precarious financial situation could sway things in Inter’s favor.

Cristian Chivu is desperate to reinforce the right wing after losing Dutch star Denzel Dumfries to a long-term injury.

However, adding a new wingback is not Inter’s only priority.

Indeed, the San Siro giants are keen to strengthen their backline amid rumours surrounding Stefan de Vrij’s future.

Sassuolo starlet Tarik Muharemovic has emerged as a perfect replacement for the 33-year-old.

But Inter and Sassuolo have yet to open talks over the Bosnian’s move to San Siro.
