Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on Joel Ordonez and Oumar Solet to bolster their defensive options at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, they are the two likeliest candidates to reinforce Inter’s backline next summer.

It’s now a near-certainty that the Nerazzurri will not continue with Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij.

Despite proving reliable over the past few years, both players are on the verge of leaving San Siro.

Indeed, they’re in the autumn of their playing careers, with Inter reluctant to extend their expiring contracts.

Oumar Solet has been on Inter’s radar for almost a year now.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a rise to stardom at Udinese, catching Inter’s attention midway through last season.

However, the Friulians were not interested in selling their prize asset in the summer.

Meanwhile, Ordonez has flourished at Club Brugge, demonstrating his qualities in the Jupiler Pro League and Europe.

Indeed, the Ecuadorian’s impressive performances in the Champions League have further boosted his reputation.

In addition to Ordonez and Solet, Inter are keeping close tabs on Wolfsburg youngster Konstantinos Koulierakis.
