Tomas Palacios was on the verge of joining Santos during the summer transfer window.

However, the move collapsed at the 11th hour after the 22-year-old decided to pull out of negotiations.

Despite forcing his stay at San Siro, Palacios remains out of Cristian Chivu’s project.

Therefore, he could return to the other side of the Atlantic in January.

Unfazed by Palacios’ rejection in the summer, Brazilian giants Santos remain the mix.

Yet, they face competition from Palacios’ former club Independiente Rivadavia and Mexican outfit Puebla.

Indeed, all three clubs keep Palacios in high esteem despite his underwhelming career in Serie A.

Meanwhile, Inter won’t stand in the player’s way.

Though the Nerazzurri would reportedly prefer an immediate sale, it’s more likely that Palacios will leave the club on loan with an option to buy.
