Hakan Calhanoglu could stay at Inter Milan for another season even if he fails to sign a new contract in the coming months.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 32-year-old remains one of the most important players in Cristian Chivu’s system.

Hakan Calhanoglu emerged as a genuine target for Galatasaray last summer, with the Rams Park giants still keen to lure him to Istanbul.

Furthermore, they had held talks with the player’s agent to discuss a potential return to his homeland.

However, Cristian Chivu convinced the Turkish midfielder to stay and helped him patch things up with Lautaro Martinez.

Inter Milan to Keep Hakan Calhanoglu for Another Season
