Hajduk Split teenager Branimir Mlacic is reportedly one step away from joining Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan. 

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the clubs could finalize their agreement by the end of the day.

Cristian Chivu’s men have been trying to sign Branimir Mlacic for weeks.

Indeed, the 18-year-old has emerged as one of the club’s top priorities this winter amid growing interest from abroad.

In addition to Inter, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Marseille have also inquired about the Croatian prodigy.

Despite facing stiff competition from top European clubs, Inter are on the verge of winning the race for Mlacic’s signature.

Indeed, they’ve scheduled a decisive meeting with the player’s entourage for today, with Inter already receiving Hajduk’s go-ahead.

The Nerazzurri are expected to shell out around €4 million to close the deal.

Furthermore, they’ll let Mlacic stay in Split on loan until the end of the season to aid his development.
