Inter Milan and Hakan Calhanoglu will not discuss a contract renewal until the end of the season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the parties will meet for showdown talks next summer.

Calhanoglu’s future at San Siro emerged as one of the hottest topics during the summer.

Indeed, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray were desperate to lure the 31-year-old midfielder to Istanbul.

Despite contacting the player’s agent, the Super Lig powerhouses backed off after being informed of Inter’s €35 million asking price.

Though Hakan Calhanoglu was at risk of falling out of favor with the Nerazzurri faithful, he has returned stronger this season.
