Juventus have reportedly rekindled their interest in Milan center-back Fikayo Tomori, who was close to joining them in January 2025. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri could soon reopen talks with the San Siro giants over the Englishman’s move to Turin.

Tomori first emerged as a target for Juventus a year and a half ago. Despite falling out of favor with Paulo Fonseca, who was in charge of Milan at the time, the former Chelsea defender turned down the record-time Italian champions to stay at San Siro.

However, with only a year left to run on his contract, Tomori could leave Milan in the coming months. Aware of the possibility, Juventus are once again considering bringing him to the Allianz Stadium, potentially in a cut-price deal.

Still, before making a move for the 28-year-old, Luciano Spalletti’s side must first address Federico Gatti’s future. Heavily linked with a move to Napoli, Gatti is seeking a more prominent role, something Spalletti seems unwilling to grant him in Turin.

Our take on Juventus & Tomori

Juventus need a reliable center-back to partner up with Gleison Bremer, who now seems close to staying at the club. Daniele Rugani and Gatti have failed to live up to expectations, prompting the Bianconeri to revive their interest in Tomori.

Though the Englishman has had ups and downs at Milan over the past couple of years, he would still be a decent coup for Spalletti’s side. His €3.5 million annual wages make him an affordable option for Juventus, yet they must sell first.

Gatti is the likeliest candidate to make room, especially now that Massimiliano Allegri is keen to lure him to Naples. There’s still one uncertainty, as Ruben Amorim has yet to reveal his stance on Tomori.
