There is also a lot of sense in the idea that the club are comparing options instead of rushing. United have made expensive mistakes before, so looking at Balde alongside Jorge Salinas feels like smarter planning. Fans will want quality, but they will also want discipline. If Balde is available for a fair price, then it could be a very strong move. If Barcelona push too high, walking away for a better-value option might be the right call.

The key point is that left-back needs sorting. Too often, United have gone into important stretches of the season without a settled solution there.
