According to Goal Brasil, Michael’s agent is scheduled to travel to meet with Al-Ain directors in the United Arab Emirates and formalise a proposal to present to Flamengo.
After Gerson, Michael may be the next player to go this summer and it’s believed the Rubro-Negro may be able to bring in a significant sum for the forward.
At the moment, there is no information on the upcoming proposal. At the beginning of the 2021 season, Flamengo reportedly rejected a bid for an R$8m (€1.3m) loan deal with a €12m purchase option.
During the start of the year, Flamengo’s priority was not to agree to loan fees, instead only dealing with definitive purchase offers.
It should be remembered that Michael is under contract at Flamengo until 2024 and that the club holds 80% of the player’s economic rights.
