Report – Milan Keen on Fiorentina Midfielder | OneFootball

Milan have reportedly set their sights on Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour after the Italian’s impressive first season in Serie A. According to Calciomercato, luring the 22-year-old to San Siro could be easier said than done, given La Viola’s firm stance on their prized asset.

Fiorentina signed Ndour from Paris Saint-Germain last summer for a meager €5 million, handing him a four-year contract at Stadio Artemio Franchi. Moreover, the player enjoyed a superb breakout season in Tuscany, tallying seven goals and three assists across 47 appearances.

Despite Ndour’s remarkable exploits, the Tuscan side had to settle for a disappointing 15th-place finish in Serie A. However, even though they’re unable to offer Ndour a chance to play in Europe next term, Fabio Grosso’s men are reluctant to negotiate his sale this summer.

Instead, they’re looking to fend off potential suitors, including Milan.

Ruben Amorim is keen to overhaul his midfield options. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Youssouf Fofana could pack their bags in the coming weeks after being deemed surplus to requirements. And their potential exits would make room for Ndour’s arrival.

Still, Milan would likely have to table a substantial offer to convince Fiorentina to part ways with one of their standout performers. With La Viola in no mood to sell the Italian midfielder, the Rossoneri may even have to wait until the closing stages of the transfer window for their Serie A rivals to soften their stance on the player.
