Reports in the UK claim that Liverpool attacker and former England U21 international Harvey Elliott is a potential option for Milan in the final week of the summer transfer window.

Report: Harvey Elliott an option for Milan

It has been a busy off-season for the Rossoneri, who have replaced Massimiliano Allegri with Ruben Amorim as head coach and have overhauled their entire senior management structure after parting company with sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani the day after the 2025-26 season ended.

The summer has also seen Milan break their club-record transfer fee with the signing of Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain, as well as bringing in Mario Gila from Lazio and Diego Moreira from Strasbourg.

Still, Milan are expecting movements both in terms of incomings and outgoings before the close of the Serie A transfer window on September 1.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Rafael Leao, whilst Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, Warren Bondo and Santiago Gimenez have not been given squad numbers for the 2026-27 season and are also likely to be sold if offers come in.

In terms of arrivals, it is understood that Milan could still seek to bring in a new attacker to play behind the centre-forward in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1.

According to reports from CaughtOffside on Wednesday, Liverpool’s Elliott is a potential option for the Rossoneri.

Milan have reportedly been monitoring Elliott’s situation at Liverpool following his underwhelming loan spell with Aston Villa in 2025-26 and Wednesday’s report hints that the Rossoneri interest ‘could develop into something more concrete’ approaching the transfer deadline.

Elliott is not expected to play a major role under new Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola this season and was not included in the matchday squad for his side’s first Premier League match of the season against Newcastle over the weekend.

CaughtOffside claims that Liverpool value Elliott in the region of €30m-€35m, while Milan would be more hopeful of getting a deal done for a fee in the region of €20m-€25m.
