Napoli are looking for attacking reinforcements in the January window and have already completed some smart deals with Premier League clubs in the past, including the signings of Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United, but also Frank Zambo Anguissa from Fulham in 2022.
Sterling returned to Chelsea last summer after a one-season loan spell at Arsenal and played his last competitive match in May.
